We have completed the bespoke handrail project in our foodie friends PJ Taste's new venue.
Using the unusual shapes and kinks of the wood we have allowed it to flow naturally up and through the building. The install process went well and the wood behaved itself! All pieces were installed with a construction grade resin and threaded rod. The fixings were then hidden behind natural Ash plugs and have become one with the branches, hardly distinguishable to the naked eye.
I'm sure you will agree we have created a spectacular handrail feature to compliment a really great eating, event and dining space. We were invited back to the grand opening last week and treated to some delicious delights from Peter and the team. Plenty of 'Sheffield Eggs' (much better than the Scotch variety) with tasty sandwich bites and lots of cake and Tea. We even got to meet the Lord Mayor, Councillor Anne Murphy and I posed for a picture with her!
All high res images kindly supplied by Mark Tierney - Who is a Yorkshire based photographer with excellent reviews. He is primarily a wedding photographer but also shoots events, a great guy and great photographer!
The overall master plan was devised after Peter and John from PJ Taste discussed their ideas with Burnell Breircliffe Achitects who are a small and friendly RIBA chartered practice based in Sheffield, and general all round good guys! They helped to plan the space efficiently and allow PJ Taste to maximise the benefits of the refurbished music venue and transform it into the great venue space it is now.
